Before this month, about the only place Jack Wiltgen wasn’t powered up was on the ice. An electrician by trade, the 30-year-old Illinois ice fisherman did not own a power auger, electronic sonar unit or snowmobile.
That was before he won the ICE FORCE Ultimate Giveaway. Having won the $10,500-value ice-fishing package, Wiltgen is fully powered and ready to fish.
“I’m beyond excited!” Wiltgen said about half-a-dozen times after learning he had won the ICE FORCE Ultimate Giveaway.
He’s looking forward to hitting the ice near home and at his family’s cabin near Sturgeon Bay, WI, “decked-out” from head to toe in ICE FORCE gear. He expects his success to increase dramatically. Before winning the sweepstakes, the only ICE FORCE gear he owned was a few Rapala Jiggin’ Raps. Here’s all that he won:
One custom wrapped Polaris Indy Voyager 550, one MarCum LX-6, one StrikeMaster HL-8, one Otter XT1200 Lodge, one ICE FORCE Polar Bib, one ICE FORCE Polar Parka, one pair of ICE FORCE gloves, one ICE FORCE buff, one $100 package of Rapala Jigging Raps & Jigging Shad Raps, one $100 package of Sufix ice fishing line, one $100 package of VMC Jigs & Spoons and Trigger X softbaits.
Wiltgen won the ICE FORCE Ultimate Giveaway via a random drawing from the names of thousands of entrants. He entered contest on Nov. 20, 2013 and was entrant #4323. It took ICE FORCE staff a long time to connect with him and confirm the good news.
“I forgot that I had entered actually, and the emails that notified me of my prize weren’t making any sense,” he said. “I never thought it could be me!”
