Recently, the MidwayUSA Foundation awarded three shooting teams with additional endowment funds after they won the Foundation’s Constituent Challenge, an incentive program that rewards teams for growing their Team Endowment Account.
The first place winner, Grace Cougars Shotgun Team out of Hideaway, Texas, received $15,000. Second place and $10,000 was awarded to Kanabec County Claybusters from Mora, Minnesota. The Palmyra Sportsmen’s Association Youth Program from Palmyra, Pennsylvania earned $5,000. “Our Constituent Challenge is helping to accomplish our goal to increase more Team Endowment Account fund balances,” said MidwayUSA Foundation’s Executive Director, Dick Leeper.
The funds added to these active Team Endowment Accounts is a direct donation from Larry and Brenda Potterfield, owners of MidwayUSA. Their latest contribution of $102,215 funded the Constituent Challenge winnings, as well as the matching program. All general donations made to the Foundation are matched 2:1. Both the Constituent Challenge and matching will continue through November 30, 2014.
The MidwayUSA Foundation is a public charity working to sustain the shooting sports industry by providing long-term funding to high school, college, university, and club shooting teams through their Team Endowment Account Program.
