Vertx Signs Award-winning USA Shooter Amanda Furrer to Pro Staff Team

Vertx Apparel is proud to introduce the newest member of the Vertx Pro Staff team, female USA Shooting Team athlete and 2012 Olympic Shooting Team competitor, Amanda Furrer.
“Amanda brings a fresh perspective to the Vertx Pro-Staff,” said Ginger Rohlfs, Vertx Director of Marketing, commented. “She truly represents another side of Vertx which encompasses a love for shooting sports and an athletic lifestyle. We look forward to working in with and supporting Amanda in her endeavors.”
After spending a little over half of her life shooting, Furrer is a seasoned natural in competing at the top level. Most recognized for placing 15th at the 2012 Olympic Games, Furrer is also well known as an athlete on the USA Shooting Team and for her career highlights as Gold Medalist at both the 2013 Mexico International Air Rifle competition and the 2013 Fall Selection. The event that Furrer competes in at competitions is the Women’s 50m Three Position.
“As an athlete in the precision world, I need the best of everything to succeed,” said Furrer. “After wearing Vertx, I don’t want to wear anything else. I’m very excited to be part of the team and happy to have Vertx® as a supporter of my Olympic endeavors.”
Having acquired numerous awards through the years, Furrer credits her love of shooting to her family. Furrer’s dad shoots tactical matches, her mom shoots pistols, and her sister was her inspiration to get into shooting in the first place. Although recently graduating from The Fischer College of Business at The Ohio State University with a degree in Business Administration, Furrer is busy right now training for the 2016 Olympics in Brazil.
Furrer’s upcoming competitions include the 2014 Rifle & Pistol World Championship/CAT-1 Selection on May 9-22 in Fort Benning, GA. You can also catch her at the 2014 Rifle and Pistol National Championships on June 22-29 in Fort Benning, GA.
