LCI Brings Big Boats, Big Cash, and Big Fun to Lake Champlain this June
Yamaha 04.22.14
Lake Champlain International, host of the LCI Father’s Day Fishing Derby presented by Yamaha, is excited to announce two new additions to the 33rd year of this New England tradition. These two promotions will add a new layer of competitiveness and fun for our family of LCI Anglers.
2014 brings our biggest boat prize ever! Our partners at Starcraft and Yamaha have come together to offer a 23-foot, three-tube pontoon boat rigged with a powerful, state-of-the-art, four-stroke engine. The Stardeck 236 Cruise-N-Fish is the perfect way to relax, fish, and enjoy your day on the water. With luxury seating and quality performance, this boat goes above and beyond with deluxe fishing chairs and spacious fishing areas for all the anglers on board. And when paired with the strength of a high-horsepower Yamaha, anglers will get to their favorite spot with all of the power, quiet, and reliability they’ve come to expect from a Yamaha outboard.
Also new for 2014 is a promotion that pays big cash for big fish – the $10,000 Coca-Cola Classic Lake Record Reward. Lake Champlain fishing is quickly earning a reputation for being some of the best in the country. Each year we’re seeing bigger, healthier fish. In fact, the LCI Derby record for lake trout was broken not once, but twice during the 2013 Father’s Day Derby! This is why we’re proud to bring you one of our highest-paying contests in years.
Returning for the 33rd year of the event will be the Tournament Record Double Downs, the Super Bonus Cash (more than $23,500 in 2013), LCI Junior Angler Division, the After Midnight Jewelers Ladies of the Lake with prizes from Cynthea’s Spa, the Campaign for Vermont Tagged Fish Bonus, the TDI New England Birthday Fish Bonus (33rd place in each species wins $330!), cash prizes for the T.E.A.M.s, the $1,000 Crazy Carp Challenge, and more!
First-place in each of the seven species divisions pays $3,000, with cash prizes for 2nd through 10th as well!
