Sportsman Channel and Sportsman HD Expand Overall Reach in More than 55 Designated Market Areas across U.S. in First Quarter

Sportsman Channel, the leader in outdoor television for American sportsmen and women, announced the network has dramatically increased its distribution in more than 55 designated market areas (DMAs) across the United States. The outdoor lifestyle network experienced a 56 percent surge of growth in high definition coverage (HD) and a 13 percent increase in standard definition coverage (SD) during the first quarter of 2014.

Sportsman Channel’s growth in 1Q2014 includes new distribution in six of the top 10 DMAs, as well as the Bahamas, San Diego, Las Vegas, Santa Barbara and Tucson. Sportsman also expanded HD coverage coinciding with the network’s Spring lineup and new original “Red, Wild & Blue” lifestyle series such as Amazing America with Sarah Palin, Iditarod: Unleashed; as well as new seasons of many of America’s most popular hunting, shooting and fishing programs.
