Modern Tactical Bolt Action Rifle Workshop

On May 29th, 2014 Ashbury Precision Ordnance Mfg (APO) is presenting an innovative one day business development workshop for independent firearms dealers, gunsmiths and custom rifle builders. Ashbury’s Modern Tactical Bolt Action Rifle Dealer Workshop was inspired by successes it achieved in the defense industry, presenting hands-on customer education and training programs on military applications of electro-optics and GPS. Ashbury’s firearms dealer business development workshops are planned at their Ruckersville, Virginia facility through the remainder 2014.

“The long range shooting market is much larger than just formal high power rifle competition, encompassing hunting, law enforcement, athletic tactical/practical rifle competitions, sniper matches and target shooting at extended ranges previously thought to be impractical, but are now commonplace”, comments Troy Perry, Ashbury’s marketing coordinator. Courses like Extreme Long Range taught at the well known Gunsite Academy for target shooting at 1000m to 2000m and Internet shooter community websites like and Snipershide.com, and specialty publications like Rifle Firepower and Varmint Hunter magazines are all examples typical in the growing tactical rifle market.

The Modern Tactical Bolt Action Rifle Dealer Workshop focuses on topics that can increase dealer retail sales of new, used and custom built precision rifles and accessories unique to long range shooting. Dealers are introduced to Ashbury’s patented SABER-FORSST modular rifle chassis system that are ergonomically adjustable, completely reconfigurable and available for 50 popular factory and custom bolt guns. Ashbury will also demonstrate their custom built ASW-TCR-SuperSport model precision rifles available in calibers .223 to 50BMG, which are also built on the modular SABER rifle chassis platform. Ashbury products are proudly manufactured and built in the USA, by patriotic American craftsmen and military veterans!

“The highly competitive nature of the retail firearms business and challenging national economy makes it necessary for specialty dealers, gunsmiths and custom rifle builders to capitalize on the growing precision long range shooting market”, says Morris Peterson president of Ashbury International Group, Inc. “As a small specialized firearms manufacturer, Ashbury is developing programs to assist dealers to better serve precision rifle shooters in the sporting, target, competition and tactical shooting market segments. Our continued growth depends on well educated and inspired dealers profitably selling APO equipment to ‘quality and accuracy conscious’ long range rifle shooters!”

This workshop features informative presentations, interactive equipment demonstrations, “Optics 101” presented by Leupold Optics, “Fundamentals of Precision Long Range Shooting” presented by GSYGT Ken Sutherby (USMC retired) and an exciting, yet quiet “suppressed” live fire afternoon range session with small, medium and large caliber familiarization on Ashbury’s complete product line. Ashbury’s workshop sponsors include Leupold Optics, Vectronix and Ruag Ammotec.
