Cabela’s “Road Trip” Adds RV Partner

Wingshooting USA TV’s fifth-annual “Cabela’s Awesome Upland Road Trip: Destination Kansas” has added a recreational vehicle sponsor. EverGreen Recreational Vehicles of Middlebury, Indiana will introduce their “Amped” toy hauler trailer to the sportsman market during the program’s tour of bird hunting country, where it will serve as remote production studio, “green room” and office for the Wingshooting USA crew while they produce shows.

Wingshooting USA TV fans are an integral part of the Road Trip says show creator/host Scott Linden. At the Wingshooting USA Facebook page, “they shop for Cabela’s dog and hunting gear we’ll take, pick Kansas destinations for the show, and now they will customize the Amped,” he added. Last year, over 6,000 suggestions were made by viewers. The initiative launches June 29 on the television program and Facebook page, with travel and production starting Oct. 1.

On the road, fans can inspect Cabela’s gear, tour the trailer and meet Linden and his dogs as they visit Cabela’s stores, answering questions and signing his book What the Dogs Taught Me. “It’s their chance to literally kick the tires and see their design and gear suggestions in person,” he said. Fans who contribute product, design and travel ideas are entered to win Cabela’s dog gear, Mossberg shotgun, SportDOG Tek GPS dog collar, Kansas-themed discounts, incentives and trips.

The EverGreen Amped Toy Hauler received 2014 “Best of Show” honors from RV Pro magazine, saying “The Amped offers several features typically found only in upscale fifth-wheels. This includes substantial pass through trunk and basement storage space thanks to its Z-Frame Technology.”

The most-watched upland bird hunting show in the U.S., Wingshooting USA’s lead sponsor is the National Shooting Sports Foundation, and the show is broadcast year-round on seven television networks. More information: www.scottlindenoutdoors.com

Host and creator of the award-winning TV series Wingshooting USA, Scott Linden has learned a lot ... about upland hunting and bird dogs. But what's the point in learning, if it's not FUN? That's Scott's second objective. His job is to help you become a better shooter, dog owner and hunter, and enjoy the camaraderie and beauty of the hunt. Through video, articles, and seminars, Scott helps millions of beginning and seasoned bird hunters learn how their dog thinks - and acts - and how they can best utilize that information to shoot straighter, get the best performance from their dog, and put more birds in the bag.
