The Outdoor Group Acquires Slick Trick Broadheads
The Outdoor Group, parent company to the premier brands Elite Archery, Duel Game Calls, Scott Archery, Custom Bow Equipment, Winner’s Choice Custom Bowstrings and Solid Broadheads is pleased to announce the acquisition of Slick Trick Broadheads – a company responsible for pioneering fixed-blade broadhead designs specifically engineered to cope with the incredible speeds of today’s ultra-fast bows.
The acquisition of Slick Trick Broadheads combines The Outdoor Group’s extensive experience in top-end product innovation, manufacturing and marketing with Slick Trick’s legacy as an industry leader on the forefront of fixed and mechanical broadhead technology. The marriage of these two forces will aid bowhunters in the achievement of pinnacle accuracy. This is more critical than ever in a modern environment where design features, tight specs and exact production tolerances are at the apex of accurate shooting and bowhunting success.
“Adding Slick Trick to our growing family of brands is bittersweet,” said Peter Crawford, President of The Outdoor Group. “Gary Cooper was a true innovator who stood out amongst a sea of talented broadhead designers and archery industry pioneers. We’re grateful to continue his legacy, and I was truly saddened by his passing. His incredible passion for this industry and bowhunting is an inspiration. We’re committed to Gary’s dedication to producing and developing top-quality products while serving his customers well,” Crawford added.
Slick Trick operations will move from their current facility in Jonesboro, Arkansas to The Outdoor Group’s corporate headquarters in Henrietta, New York, effective immediately. The Outdoor Group will continue Slick Trick’s commitment to manufacturing top-quality Super-Steel ferrules here in the United States while using Stainless Steel Lutz Mercedes Blades, which are widely known for their exceptional sharpness.
“We are excited to pass the torch to The Outdoor Group. Their understanding and exemplification of our core values as a family-run company, with an unusual dedication to innovation, quality and customer service was key in our decision to pass Gary’s heritage along to them. Slick Trick will be in good hands and we’re eager to see how they’ll reshape the company in the future” said Donna Cooper McComas, Owner of Slick Trick.
