Shimano ‘Surf Crew’ Off to Long Island this Saturday – Anglers Can Demo New Long Cast Surf System

Shimano’s ‘Surf Crew’ will be on Long Island this Saturday in Jones Beach and Hampton Bays, their second stop at key surf fishing sites on the East Coast to introduce Shimano’s new ‘Long Cast Surf System.’ Shimano surf expert Roy Leyva will be beach side at both events. Anglers can test to see how much more casting distance they achieve when using one of the new Aero Technium XS-C, Ultegra CI4+ XSB or Ultegra XS-C spinning reels, rigged on a new Tiralejo surf rod.

Saturday’s surf events take place from 8:30am until 11:30 at Ocean Parkway, Parking Field 6 in Jones Beach, and from 2pm until 5 on Sunset Avenue, at the northwest corner of the Shinnecock Canal in Hampton Bays.

Shimano’s new ‘Long Cast Surf System’ tackle will soon be available from select tackle dealers up and down the East Coast. For more information on the reels and rods, visit fish.shimano.com.
