Hillsound—the leading producer of winter and fishing footwear traction and gaiters for urban and outdoor enthusiasts—announced the addition of Jackson Hole-based fly fishing guide and professional skier Shroder Baker to its ambassador team.
Originally from Oregon, Baker has lived in Jackson Hole, Wyoming for the past 15 years and has been an avid river angler for the majority of his life.
“Having the right gear whether you are in a boat or wading is key to having a great day on the water,” said Baker. “What I like about the FreeSteps6 is they are super light and I can remove them quickly when getting back in my boat. I’m excited to be joining Hillsound’s team and adding the FreeSteps6 to my fly fishing gear kit.”
Traditionally a winter-focused brand, Hillsound recently gained popularity among anglers with their FreeSteps6 crampon. The traction device provides an eco-friendly, easy-on-and-off river crampon that is lightweight and ergonomically designed. Its durability and extremely competitive MSRP ($39.99) is quickly making it a top choice for fishing and outdoor retailers.
“Shroder is obviously a passionate adventurer,” said Hillsound Marketing Director Jessica Greinke. “The fact that he’s dedicated to fly fishing as both an individual and a guide on some of the most iconic rivers in North America makes him someone we’re extremely excited to add to the Hillsound team.”
