Crimson Trace Taps Petterson as Engineering Director

Crimson Trace, the shooting industry’s recognized leader in laser sighting systems and tactical lights for firearms, has tapped Eric Petterson as the company’s new Director of Engineering. He will lead the company’s engineering department in increasing new product output to consumers, OEM partners, and the military /defense customer segments.
“I am very excited to join such an energized and passionate organization,” stated Eric Petterson. “I look forward to helping continue the company’s rich history of leading innovation and creativity in the marketplace.” He is based at the company headquarters in Wilsonville, Oregon.
Petterson brings more than a dozen years experience to his new position in the release-to-market of custom OEM and standard products. He was previously employed by Electrochem Solutions in Beaverton, Oregon along with employment terms with Micro Power Electronics, InnovaComm Technologies, and Maxtek Components. He has served in several engineering and project management roles, including as a Vice-President for engineering and product development departments.
Petterson will provide strategic vision and leadership to Crimson Trace’s engineering and product development functions to support the company’s revenue goals and product innovation initiatives. He will serve as an Executive Team member in order to accomplish company objectives and organizational needs. As the Director of Engineering, Petterson will work cross-functionally with the Manufacturing, Sourcing, Sales and Marketing departments related to new products and increasing product platforms.
Petterson holds a business degree from Oregon State University.
