The Little Anglers Derby is an annual children’s fishing event that takes place in conjunction with the favorite LCI Father’s Day Derby. The fun and jovial nature of this event not only
brings smiles to the faces of the children participating, but also provides them with some early memories of a cherished Vermont pastime. Taking a kid fishing can teach important life skills such as patience, independence, critical thinking, and respect for the environment. There is no better place to spark your child’s interest in fishing than while surrounded by peers, having a blast!
Come on down to the Windemere Way State Boat Launch in Colchester, VT this Saturday, June 14, 2014 to take part in this free and friendly children’s derby. Registration is from 10:00 a.m. – 11:00 a.m., fishing is from 11:00 a.m.-1:00 p.m., and awards are at 1:15 p.m. So come, bring your sons and daughters, nieces and nephews, and grandchildren and join us this Saturday! We trust your buoys and gills will get hooked on fishing!
