Taurus, the global leader in revolver manufacturing, celebrates Team Captain, Jessie Duff and Young Gun Alex Larche wins while competing at Double Tap Ranch near Wichita Falls, Texas.
For the past nine years the Double Tap Ranch has hosted the Double Tap Championships. This event has attracted shooters from not only around the country, but has created fans from around the world with its theme based stages. This year’s theme was from the movie, The Matrix. Jessie and Alex competed among 350 other shooters on the 12 stage “movie set”. The course of fire was not what many shooters are familiar with, having to open doors, pull ropes and shoot targets to expose other paper and steel targets. Even with these added challenges, Jessie Duff was able to earn the Ladies Open title and Alex Larche won High Junior in Single Stack, High Overall and 1st B Class.
Duff comments, “I enjoyed shooting this match, using it as a practice match for the upcoming IPSC World Shoot this year. I shot with one of my teammates on the USA Ladies Open Team, and had a great match to kick off my world shoot training!” The team captain also stated, “I’m so proud of Alex and his performance this weekend! He has worked very hard in the Single Stack division, and its showing.”
Two hours north of Dallas, Texas, is the town of Wichita Falls, which has the pleasure and honor of hosting the Double Tap Championships. Each year, they provide a challenging and enjoyable course that makes it fun for both participants and non-participants. The 2014 match had a movie theme, The Matrix, directed by Andy Wachowski, allowing shooters to play the roles of Keanu Reeves and Carrie-Anne Moss with interactive targets designed by Match Director, Robert Porter. The task of setting up this course of fire was accomplished by The Double Tap Ranch Hands.
