Trijicon Offers New ACOG Reticle Options for M193 Ammunition
OutdoorHub 07.16.14
The undisputed leader in battlefield optics announces additional reticle offerings to the already proven ACOG (Advanced Combat Optical Gunsight) line with the introduction of the M193 reticle with the Bindon Aiming Concept (BAC).
The new M193 reticles are specifically calibrated to match the ballistic profile of M193 ammunition (5.56, 55gr FMJ, common military surplus), while incorporating Trijicon’s patented fiber optics and tritium-based illumination technology. The reticle offerings will be available in the fixed power, self-luminous ACOG 4×32 and 3.5×35 models.
The ACOG M193 reticles will utilize the chevron reticle, which is designed to be zeroed using the tip at 100 meters with the BDC ranging out to 800 meters. The width of the chevron at the base is 5.5 MOA, which represents 19” at 300 meters. This allows range estimation for silhouette targets. The M193 reticles for the ACOG 4×32 and 3.5×35 will be offered in red, amber and green colors.
The Trijicon ACOG is designed to be extremely durable and reliable in bright or low/no light situations. Combining traditional, precise distance marksmanship with CQB speed, the ACOG is widely considered the ultimate combat optic. Every feature of its design was chosen for a single purpose: to provide increased hit potential in all lighting conditions.
