Exclusive Galco and Blade-Tech Holster Reviews Online from FMG Publications

Technological advances are making concealed carry easier and more comfortable than ever before. However, choosing the right holster for the right gun can be a tricky task. FMG Publications online editor Mark Kakkuri gives readers a straightforward answer to the most common concealed carry questions.
In a GUNS Magazine online-only article, Kakkuri evaluates the Galco Triton Holster for carrying a Glock 19 — a heavier-than-average carry gun. Kakkuri tested the Galco/Glock combination during a labor-intensive day and shared his findings, which can be found at www.gunsmagazine.com/exclusive-galco-triton-holster.
“I carried my Glock 19 for over 14 hours in a Galco Triton — an inside the waistband Kydex holster with a belt clip. A Glock 19 is a great concealed carry gun, but it isn’t the smallest nor the lightest,” writes Kakkuri. “Throughout the day and all over the construction site the Glock 19 got bumped, banged and scraped. Actually only the rear of the Glock’s slide took any direct hits… the Galco Triton’s belt clip absorbed the rest.”
Kakkuri also reviews the Blade-Tech Ultimate Concealment Holster by breaking down its three greatest assets. His online article on American Handgunner specifically explores how Blade-Tech’s UCH handles the Colt Mustang XSP, which can be read at americanhandgunner.com/exclusive-blade-tech-ultimate-concealment-holster-review/.
“While both gun and holster are slim and lightweight and install inside the waistband with virtually no fuss, the rig simply carries better on a real gun belt,” writes Kakkuri. “And as you would expect, a lighter weight gun and holster yield more comfort when carrying concealed. Additionally, it is possible to get away with a looser fitting on the belt you’re using to carry this smaller rig.”
