GCI Cable Launches Sportsman Channel HD

Sportsman Channel, the leader in outdoor television for American Sportsmen and women, has announced the network launched on the high definition (HD) platform of GCI’s Digital Variety package on Thursday, August 14.
This latest expansion comes on the heels of Sportsman Channel’s five-fold proliferation of new customers in Alaska and the network’s continued growth surge. Sportsman Channel (SD) launched on GCI in Alaska on August 1.
“The opportunity to enjoy Sportsman Channel HD content on GCI in Anchorage, Fairbanks, Juneau, Palmer and Wasilla is a welcome development in the growth surge of the network in Alaska,” said Nory LeBrun, head of affiliate sales for Sportsman Channel. “Sportsman HD brings viewers closer to the action while hunting, fishing and shooting in some of the most interesting and scenic parts of the world. Sportsman Channel HD is available to GCI Variety subscribers on Channel 746.
