Plano Synergy Announces New Marketing/ Pro Staff Coordinator

Plano Synergy, a leading outdoor company providing thousands of individual hunting and fishing related products across eight major brands, has announced the hiring of Justina K. Whalen as Marketing / Pro Staff Coordinator.

Working under Plano Synergy Director of Marketing, Ben Rand, Whalen serves as a key liaison between the company’s internal marketing and public relations personnel and Plano Synergy’s extensive team of outdoors pro staff.  Whalen’s work will focus on Plano Synergy’s Frabill, Plano and Tenzing brands and the representation of these products at various hunting and fishing shows, promotions, tournaments, and media events.

Plano Synergy’s growing network of pro staffers is vital to the company’s continued leadership in the hunting and fishing markets.  The group includes a variety of professional hunting and fishing guides in key areas throughout North America, as well as the industry’s top hunting and fishing television personalities.  “We choose our pro staffers carefully based on the manner and care they employ in representing themselves and our products,” says Rand.  “And we rely on them heavily for feedback and input to ensure we are providing the hunting and fishing public with the very best products available”.

Of course, the company also relies on these pros – approximately 150 of them for the Plano, Tenzing and Frabill brands alone – to promote the benefits and functionality of their products to consumers.  Whalen will work closely with these industry pros, coordinating appearances, promotional events and other public relations opportunities, while also providing social media support with the overall goal of increasing brand awareness on behalf of Plano, Frabill and Tenzing.

Like many other key Plano Synergy team members, Whalen lives for the outdoors, having worked previously as research assistant at the University of Arizona where she earned her degree, a tour outfitter on Alaska’s Kenai Peninsula, and a volunteer coordinator in Thailand.  She’s more than ready to take on her new and critical role. “I look forward to meeting and working with other people who have a true passion for outdoors sports and for conservation,” says Whalen.

“We are very excited to have Justina as a part of the marketing team, and are confident she will do a great job in providing support and direction on our family of outdoor brands,” says Rand.

Whalen assumed her new duties at Plano Synergy on August 4.
