HunterEdCourse.com, an official Colorado Parks & Wildlife online hunter education provider announced today a program to support anti-poaching efforts in Colorado through a cash donation based on Hunter Ed Course Colorado hunter safety course sales during September and October 2014.
HunterEdCourse.com is instituting this program due to concern about the unlawful take of wildlife in Colorado that harms the sport for the hunter who follows the legal and ethical guidelines as taught in the HunterEdCourse.com Colorado online hunter education course.
Hunter Ed Course is donating $1 for every Colorado Hunter Ed Course hunter safety course sold in September and October 2014 (or a maximum of $250, whichever is more) to Colorado Parks & Wildlife’s Operation Game Thief (OGT) reward fund.
Operation Game Thief is a Colorado Parks and Wildlife program that pays rewards to citizens who turn in poachers. You can contact OGT toll-free within Colorado at 1-877-COLO-OGT, Verizon cell phone users can dial #OGT, or contact us via e-mail at firstname.lastname@example.org .
Operation Game Thief offers a reward up to $500 for information on cases involving big game or endangered species, while $250 is offered for information on turkey and $100 for fishing and small game cases. A Citizens Committee administers the reward fund, which is made possible by private contributions such as the contribution that HunterEdCourse.com is making to the fund.
