This week on Gateway Outdoors Radio explores how 157k was raised in one event to benefit PA’s Elk.
Charlie Burchfield’s special guest is Rawley Cogan CEO of the Keystone Elk County Alliance whose organization supported, and hosted PA’s Elk Expo.
This was the first year the KECA was able to sponsor the 1st Annual PA Bull Elk Hunt Fundraiser, which will become an annual event. The special raffle netted about 157k. With 100% of the proceeds directly being applied to elk habitat and education.
However it did not happen overnight, and involved an impressive lineup of conservation partners combining their efforts over a number of years to make it happen.
