Nestlé Purina continues its longtime support of Pheasants Forever and Quail Forever (PF/QF) by renewing its status as the organization’s National Dog Food Sponsor. The three year commitment extends Purina’s sponsorship of the nation’s leading upland conservation organization and progresses a corporate relationship that has spanned over two decades.

“Purina’s support for Pheasants Forever and Quail Forever’s mission is all-encompassing. We value our role in providing hardworking dogs the nutrition necessary to fuel their performance in the field, as well as our role in supporting an organization that conserves thousands of acres of upland habitat each year,” stated Bob West, director of Purina’s sporting dog group.”

“Purina’s commitment to responsible pet care complements our commitment to the canine athletes that make our time in the field that much more productive and enjoyable,” explained Brad Heidel, director of corporate sales for PF. “For upland bird hunters, time spent in training and hunting with our bird dogs creates cherished memories. Purina’s support helps conserve the habitat where those memories are made.”

With 70 percent of PF/QF members owning dogs and many owning more than one dog, the expertise that Purina provides on canine nutrition, conditioning, and training is highly valued. Purina shares this knowledge with the organization’s members monthly in the “In the Kennel” section of the On the Wing eNewsletter, quarterly in the youth Forever Outdoors Magazine, and periodically in the Pheasants Forever Journal of Upland Conservation and Quail Forever Journal of Quail Conservation.

Purina also sponsors the organization’s annual National Pheasant Fest & Quail Classic as a featured exhibitor. This year, the event will be held February 20, 21 & 22 at the Iowa Events Center in Des Moines, and Purina will be sponsoring the Bird Dog Bonanza Stage along with SportDOG Brand, a fellow National sponsor. Purina experts will offer seminars over the course of the three-day weekend with topics ranging from puppies to veteran dogs and from developing a bird dog to the fast-growing sport of shed hunting.
