Bryan Sikes of Team Bushnell Tactical / GA Precision won yet another long range precision rifle match. His latest victory occurred at the Bushnell-GA Precision PRO-AM Long Range Match, hosted at the K&M Shooting Facility in Baker, Florida Aug 30-31, 2014.
The Bushnell GAP Pro-Am was the largest match yet at the K&M facility, with 152 competitors paired into 76 teams of one Pro and one Amateur shooter. The match concept was the idea of George Gardner of GA Precision and Bushnell’s own Tom Fuller as a way to attract new shooters to Precision Rifle Series rifle matches and long range shooting in general. It was decided to pair the Precision Rifles Series “Pros” with a like number of novice shooters and to keep scores for teams, pros and amateurs alike. With stages set to test skill and teamwork the newly paired teams went to work in the heat and humidity of north Florida.
After two long days of intense competition, and 17 stages, Bushnell-GA Precision shooter Bryan Sikes once again stepped into the winners circle. Making the most of his Bushnell Elite Tactical 4.5-30 x50 XRS scope and a GA Precision Rifle, Bryan and his amateur partner combined team work and ability with great equipment to pull ahead of the competition and come out on top when the dust settled.
When asked about the match Bryan said, “It was the best competition of the year. I had the opportunity to meet new shooters in our community that came to compete as amateurs. It was a very fulfilling event headlined by the best sponsors/companies in the industry. It was and continues to be my honor to represent Bushnell and GA Precision in the PRS. I am humbled to have placed first among world class shooters at a world class facility using world class optics.”
