Cabela’s Incorporated, the World’s Foremost Outfitter of hunting, fishing and outdoor gear, will celebrate the growing number of women enjoying the outdoors with a Ladies’ Day Out event, Saturday, Oct. 4, 2014, at stores nationwide.
According to the Outdoor Foundation’s 2013 Outdoor Participation Report, 45 percent of U.S. participants in outdoor activities are female. Cabela’s Ladies’ Day Out encourages women to embrace the outdoor lifestyle and enhance their passion as outdoor enthusiasts by offering insight on the latest outdoor apparel, camping gear, personal firearms and more.
The first 100 women to check-in at a participating Cabela’s store on Saturday, Oct. 4 will receive a free gift and all who participate in the event will qualify for an employee discount on in-store purchases.
Cabela’s Ladies’ Day Out events also will feature educational and interactive workshops for women seeking to expand their knowledge and expertise of outdoor activities. Seminars will be taught by local experts and Cabela’s staff and are free of charge.
“Ladies Day Out celebrates our female customers’ passion for the outdoors and encourages more women to pursue and explore the outdoor lifestyle,” said Bobbi Lindeman, Cabela’s Vice President of Merchandising. “Cabela’s is proud to offer this opportunity for women to learn more about outdoor recreation and interact with other female outdoor enthusiasts.”
