Robinson Outdoor Products Realigns Sales with Leidall

Robinson Outdoor Products, manufacturer of ScentBlocker hunting clothing and scent eliminating liquids, and Tree Spider hunting safety equipment, announced today that it has appointed Todd Leidall as Vice President of Sales. Todd, a senior executive with Robinson for the nearly four years was formerly the VP of Sales for medical industry giant, Boston Scientific. Todd, will succeed Joe White who formerly filled the sales role.

Robinson Outdoor Products and its ever-expanding product portfolio has been established as the market leader with renowned ScentBlocker, Tree Spider, and Whitewater brands. “We have carefully positioned these brands and specifically engineered our products for expansion into new markets. By aligning Todd Leidall, a serving senior executive with a long and proven sales history, into a position where he has the ability to make new inroads and create new market share is a natural fit,” states Robinson President/CEO Scott Shultz.

The development of a new aggressive sales program that incorporates product categories in apparel, tree-stand safety and liquid scent elimination products creates a competitive advantage, and with that our retailer partners are able to take advantage on our mutual customers behalf. Says Leidall “We have realigned much of our sales program over the last year. We are continuing the trend by adding key new players, including Matthew Prink as Regional Sales Manager. We are on the cusp of announcing an exciting strategic partnership with a new sales group, as well.”

“These new appointments will allow us to focus more deeply upon our largest retailers, explore some potential new markets, and without sacrificing the all-important independent dealer. These dealers are the backbone of our company and, while we eye growth in new markets, we insist on maintaining a strong presence in this critical grassroots area,” adds Leidall.

“We have worked diligently to position Robinson for growth, not only to meet the demands of today’s customer, but to surge into the future leveraging our technologies and adding exciting new markets. This is a dynamic and proactive move that strategically assures the company’s future is secure, and its growth potential is maximized,” says Shultz.

It sounds obvious, but behind the scenes of every technical product at Robinson Outdoor Products LLC is a history of exhaustive use, abuse and in lab testing. We start with an idea, a need, and then seek out the finest fabrics, materials and formulas and start exploring design solutions to meet the need. Our advanced product lab tests materials, compatibility, performance levels and effectiveness scores with crucial data, but the final step is most crucial. We head into the field, because real world hunting needs can’t be solved in the lab alone. Such full-on testing often exposes details that might otherwise be overlooked. For example, designing hood or headcovers on a mannequin in the office is one thing. Until you climb up a high placed treestand and pull it over your head and try to draw a bow and shoot that you realize your vision and draw is compromised when that chance of a lifetime walks out. From this in-depth field-testing we have developed some of the most unique details and benefits that go into our products. Offset main zippers for clean shooting, diamond crotch gusset for a resistant free climb into a treestand, Silent Wrist Ratchet Body Lock for on stand adjustment, Gearpendent Technology for minimal movement while reaching for gear, Zip-off removable arm guard for non-restrictive shooting, tree harness slit for integrated attachment, perfect fit, function and the list goes on. Honestly, it's an evolution of understanding more than anything else. It's years of experience and many days, weeks and months of sitting in the tree stand, on the stalk, in the bottomlands, on top of the mountains shivering, sweating and soggy moments figuring out what something really does and why and what we can do to make it hunt better.
