Network is Cable TV’s Growth Leader in Key Demo M25-54
Sportsman Channel scored the No. 1 ranking across all ad-supported cable television networks in prime time with year-over-year growth of 86 percent in the key demographic M25-54 during the third quarter. The leading network in outdoor lifestyle programming also experienced its all-time best ratings quarter ever spurred by the delivery of a higher East Coast and West Coast prime time average audience than in any previous quarter in the following demographics: M25-54, Adults 25-54 and M18-49.*
Sportsman Channel’s momentum and No. 1 ranking success was driven by its “Red Wild & Blue” line-up of more than 17 new shows and 700 new episodes in the third quarter and included original shows: MeatEater and Meet the McMillans, as well as other notable shows: Realtree’s Monster Bucks, Pigman: The Series, Buckventures, Rival Wild, Mathews Dominant Bucks, Winchester’s Deadly Passion, The Western Hunter, Destination Whitetail, In-Fisherman TV and North American Whitetail, to name a few. Sportsman’s third quarter also included a special swine-themed, week-long stunt “Aporkalypse” and the “Bownanza”– outdoor television’s only annual stunt devoted exclusively to bowhunting. This combination of new and returning original series, specials, and themed stunts lifted the network against its competitors for ratings superiority and also contributed to the overall success in the third quarter.
“Sportsman Channel’s third quarter ratings success is a result of combining the very best programs and producers in outdoor television along with expanded distribution and the most powerful multi-media marketing machine in cable TV,” said Gavin Harvey, CEO of Sportsman Channel. “Our programming and marketing investments – designed to attract valuable male demos – are working and reflecting our current success and momentum rolling into the fourth quarter.”
