TPG BLACK Marine Plate Carrier (MPC) Receives High Scores from the NTOA Member Tested and Recommended Program

is proud to announce that their Marine Plate Carrier (MPC) modular vest has received a score of 4.06 out of a possible 5 points from the National Tactical Officers Association (NTOA) Member Tested and Recommended Program. TPG has the privilege of displaying the prestigious NTOA Member Tested and Recommended Logo in their marketing materials.
The testing officer from Maryland remarked, “I was very pleased with the maneuverability I was afforded in the vest. Additionally, I found the Velcro flap that can be tucked within the vest to be very valuable in maintaining a tight fit to the body.” He continued to say that there was sufficient surface area to attach the majority of his necessary tools that he would carry into a tactical operation and was pleased to note that the vest itself proved buoyant when placed within water.
The MPC is a modular vest protecting the upper torso from multiple ballistic threats (depending on ballistic inserts utilized) which can be easily configured to defeat predicted mission threats at a minimum system weight. The MPC system consists of one base vest assembly made up of an outer shell base vest carrier with an optional ballistic insert set and one set of interchangeable left and right cumberbunds, one pair of removable side plate pockets, internal elastic belly-band and a quick release cable. Made in the USA at the TPG facility in South Florida, it is available in Coyote, Multi-Cam (OCP), Kryptek Mandrake and Black.
The testing officer from Wisconsin mentioned that he “really liked the increased movement allowed by the cut of the vest compared to his usual ERT entry vest.” He continued to say that, “I will be using the vest when deployed as a sniper. The vest is well made with sturdy stitching; it fits over my patrol uniform / internal vest and could be used for additional armor on patrol if needed. In short, I really like the vest.”
