OutdoorHub 10.06.14
Red Bull KTM rider Taddy Blazusiak fought his way back to finish second in Rd. 4 of the AMA EnduroCross series on Saturday night after crashing while in the lead of the final. Taylor Robert (FMF/KTM Factory rider) finished fourth.
Blazusiak, a Red Bull-sponsored athlete started in heat three and quickly took the lead after the first two corners. He then went on to take the win by over 15 seconds. Robert, who raced in the first heat, also took a win to give both KTM riders a spot in the main event.
Blazusiak got away well in the main event and immediately took the lead. He began to pull away from the pack but came unstuck in the rock section, allowing Colton Haaker to overtake him. Blazusiak made a quick recovery and was just a bike length ahead of Cody Webb. The two riders battled it out for the second place but Blazusiak managed to hang on to the advantage.
Meanwhile Robert started the race in fourth place then dropped back to fifth where he remained for most of the race. He then made the push in the closing stages and overtook Mike Brown to secure fourth.
After four of eight rounds, Blazusiak is now tied with Haaker for the points lead while Robert is fourth in the overall standings. KTM riders took five of the top ten places at the Denver round
