Laura Burgess Marketing (LBM), public relations and marketing communications for the law enforcement, tactical, military, shooting sports, boating and recreational fishing markets, today announced the addition of three new staff members to its team. LBM has hired Winston Behle as Junior Account Executive, Heather Fitzhugh as Marketing Coordinator and Joe Kriz as Social Media Coordinator. The company felt it was necessary to add new staff to continue its growth trajectory and better serve its existing and future client base.
Winston Behle holds a bachelor’s degree from a Brigham Young University Public Relations Program that regularly ranks Top 5 in the nation. Behle’s experience includes working as a law enforcement reporter for the BYU newspaper, as well as consulting with various companies on their public relations strategy. In addition to being a talented writer, he is skilled in strategic PR campaigns, social media, search engine optimization and web design, as well as photography / video production and editing.
As the new Junior Account Executive, Behle will be responsible for supporting management, writing, scheduling and distributing press releases, as well as developing advertising strategies, negotiating ad purchases and managing schedules. Behle also will be writing original content for client sites, newsletters and blogs, as well as updating the LBM Blogger and website in appearance and functionality. In addition, he is responsible for creating and maintaining relationships within the outdoor marketplace.
Heather Fitzhugh, a 3-Gun, USPSA and IDPA shooter, has traveled the country competing in a large variety of matches. Her competitive shooting career began in 2011 in USPSA and IDPA, winning her first state title just a year and a half later. In the summer of 2013 she joined the world of 3-Gun; seven months later, Fitzhugh earned an invite to compete at the 3-Gun Nation Pros Series Qualifier. When she is not shooting or working for LBM, Fitzhugh continues furthering her education toward her bachelor’s degree in marketing at the American Military University.
As the new Marketing Coordinator, Fitzhugh will support management in day to day tasks, as well as head up the Writer Test & Evaluation Program. She will also be responsible for clip services and editorial management, aid in sponsorship development and research for clients, as well as write content for the LBM Blogger on the shooting industry.
Joe Kriz joined LBM shortly after firing a firearm for the first time. A Maryland native, Joe holds a bachelor’s degree in communication from Virginia Tech where he studied public relations, marketing and entrepreneurship. New to the shooting sports and outdoors industries, Joe brings a fresh outlook, along with his passion for digital marketing, social media expertise and creative eye to his role as Social Media Coordinator in the support of LBM and its clients. Currently, Joe oversees more than 30 social media accounts and 200,000 online fans and followers.
As the new Social Media Coordinator, Kriz will be responsible for setting up social media accounts and maintaining daily activity such as posts / tweets to all applicable client social media outlets. Other duties include developing and scheduling content for posting, monitoring fan interactions, reporting “chatter” and other relevant online data and maintaining a post schedule. Additionally, Kriz will manage client and LBM newsletters, create graphics for social media use and write for and co-manage the LBM Blogger.
