The Lone Star Championship would like to welcome a new Platinum Sponsor for 2014; LASR – Laser Activated Shot Reporter (www.LASRapp.com). LASR is a computer app that provides instant feedback on shot placement and time when used with a web cam and laser dryfire training aides.
Introduced at the 2104 SHOT Show LASR is a great combination of software and non-proprietary hardware that makes dryfire practice more interactive and fun. Competitive and defensive shooters alike will benefit from this technology with faster draws and transitions and much better trigger control.
“With traditional dryfire training, it’s difficult to work on trigger control while performing drills at full speed. You have to be honest with yourself and call all of your shots. But with LASR, you can go back and verify what you saw when you broke the shot. Your hits are recorded on screen along with your split times, and you can use this data to track your training progress.” said Bob Rowell, Sponsorship Coordinator for the Lone Star Championship.
The Lone Star IDPA Championship takes place in Cresson, Texas, at the Triple C Tactical Gun Range on October 11th 2014. The match is hosted by Cross Timbers Action Shooting Association (CTIDPA) and is sold out again this year with 225 shooters registered.
