Chamber-View, LLC, innovators behind highly visual firearms safety products, has received official notification from the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office (PTO) that the Chamber-View Empty Chamber Indicator (ECI) has been issued a non-provisional Utility Patent No. 8,857,092 on their innovative ECIs.
Utility Patent No. 8,857,092 issued on October 14, 2014, demonstrates that Chamber-View® has invented a new and useful product.
“All of us at Chamber-View® are extremely excited to have received this Utility Patent for our ECIs,” Ned Bitsack, CEO and Inventor of the Chamber-View® ECI remarked. “As a healthcare professional with 30 years’ experience of occupational health issues, the idea was conceived on a personal level to protect my family and friends on the sporting clays course and subsequently allow bystanders and range personnel to feel more comfortable by seeing a highly visible open action indicator in their firearm from a distance. During development, there was the realization that the concept could benefit public safety in the entire shooting sports community.”
He continued, “Chamber-View® has also filed formal continuing applications that will broaden its intellectual property protection of the current and prototyped future ECI product line .We anticipate the continued issuance over the coming months as validation that our products aid and improve firearm safety.”
The Chamber-View® ECI for handguns, shotguns and rifles enhance public safety by sending a highly visual, non-verbal and recognizable message to surrounding individuals that a firearm is being carried and used in a completely safe manner. Chamber-View® ECIs are a recognizable symbol of safety that are ideal for safe firearm handling on the range, for transportation or even for storage purposes. There are presently four products available on the market today with six additional products in current development.
