Did you know that red deer are the fourth largest ungulate species behind moose, elk, and sambar deer? Their native habitat extends across Europe and into Asia, making them one of the most widespread deer species in the world. They are an amazing animal, and one of our staff members actually had a chance to hunt one in Spain last year. Fun fact: they also sound a lot like an elk, which you can hear in the video below the image.
