  1. The NuCanoe looks like it might be a little risky for the fisherman in back! Does the seat slide forward? If so . . . far enough to prevent hooking the sucker in the back?

Sebile lures are great, cost a bit more, but real fish catchers . . . as good as Rapala.

    1. The Nu-Canoe the seats do adjust and move, I haven’t heard of it being any problem fishing two. I think it is better than fishing out of a canoe for sure. The NuCanoe is stable enough to stand up in it and cast, I am really in love with it, its perfect for Tami and I.

      1. The Nu- Canoe looks interesting. I wouldn’t mind trying to fly fish Big Pike out of one if it is as stable as you say it is Andy.

  2. I hope that Engel holds up better than mine, I have the Deep Blue 80 qt and the lid is warped so bad it will not hold ice more than 3 days.

It wasn’t always like this but seems to get worse as time passes, by the way it is only 2 years old.
Buy a Yetti you’ll be better off!

    1. Dang Glen, I hate to hear that, I haven’t had a problem one, with mine as yet? Have you contacted Engel and let them know what’s happened?

      1. Yes and they were sent pictures clearly showing the lid being warped 7/16 ” across the back over the hinge.
Their response was to send me a new gasket which I installed and seemed to help the problem for a while but now it is warped even more and no longer has a seal and so it will not keep ice as good as an ordinary Coleman!
I intend to contact them again and hope they will either replace the lid or the entire cooler.

There is no way that my experience is typical, if it were they would have been out of business long ago.
My confidence has taken a beating with this cooler, when I first got it I loaded it with ice full to the top and set it under a large oak tree, I didn’t open the cooler until I could no longer here ice shushing when I shook it. This was in 70deg weather and it held ice for 19 days!
For $450+ I had 6 months great service,6 months fair service and 1 year of poor service and now almost no service, thanks Glenn

      2. Thank you for sharing Glen, I have really been impressed with mine to date, I think they are good folks, I will bet you they will stand behind thier product. Im my 37 years hunting and fishing, I havent seen anything that will hold ice and stay cold as long as the Engel has.

  3. I love the Nu-Canoe I have floated mine fully loaded in about six inches of water. I also tried the Hevi-Shot and I was impressed, it is a little expensive but it really patterns well.

  4. The Sebile lure looks very similar to one of the lures I smash aggressive Rainbow trout on here in Minnesota. I like the looks of it. How big is the lure physically? About an inch long?

  5. I’ve been looking at the Nu Canoe in ads, glad to hear of someone who has been in one. Sounds like it does what it advertises…..

  6. I read
the guide and just bought one of the Tenzing packs for a Mule Deer hunt, I am
planning for next year, I love it, everything you said and much more. I
can’t believe how tough this pack is; it fits your back perfectly and allows
you to really keep everything close and tight. I am going to purchase the CF 13
for Elk hunting if this one works as well as I think it will, it is a bit
pricey. Thank you for writing the reviews, excellent choices
