Whether sautéed in butter, pan-fried or scrambled into an omelet, morel mushrooms are a tasty delicacy, if you know how to find them. The distinctive honeycombed fungi can be found widely across the United States, and are enjoyed by many as both a culinary ingredient and hobby. Efforts to grow the mushroom at home are often successful, but many prefer to hunt morels themselves.
