Early Bird Sales For Outdoor Enthusiasts

Updated 10/26/2021

As an outdoor enthusiast myself, my blood starts pumping this time of year. Not only because of the hunting, which is awesome, but also the sales that come along as we approach the holidays. My wife hates it, saying I’m too hard to buy for because I always just buy what I want. Of course that’s not true. There’s always something cool I am sure I need. And with all the early bird holiday sales going on, if you need a gift for someone, or need some gear for hunting, now is definitely the time to grab it. With the rumor mill swirling with notions of supply chain shortages, it is a good idea to start picking up holiday gifts or the stuff you want while it is in stock. It is even better when you can save some money with select retailers offering early-bird sales. If you’re on the lookout for some early bird sales for outdoor enthusiasts, you’d better take ‘em while you can.

2. https://cabelas.xhuc.net/mgZrZX

SALE
https://cabelas.xhuc.net/mgZrZX

I’m not going to lie – I used to work at Cabela’s years back in the corporate office. I got to try out Cabela’s MT050 gear first hand and in some extremely bad conditions. I was pretty happy to see that the product carried over when Cabela’s and BPS merged. This is a hard-core parka that will keep you warm and dry in the worst hunting conditions you can get into. It starts with MT050 100% polyester fabric that is extremely durable AND quiet. You don’t often get those two together. Add in GORE-TEX material to make things waterproof along with sealed seams. If you want the best coat you can get for hunting, especially those cold, late-season hunts, this is the parka you need.

Pros/Waterproof, warm, quiet and durable
Cons/It's not the cheapest parka, but...
Bottom Line/For the most extreme condition, you need the foremost hunting parka available

3. Cabela's Northern Flight Full Body Mallard II Duck Decoys

SALE
Cabela's Northern Flight Full Body Mallard II Duck Decoys

Have you ever hunted mallards over a corn field late in the season? If you have, you know what I’m talking about when I say that it is amazing to see and fun to do. You’re sitting in the blind in cut corn with the decoys working. You hear the whistle of the wings as the flock circles before forming the vortex of birds funneling down into your spread. I remember my first time doing it and seeing just how cool it is. Fun shooting, too. Cabela’s uses designs from a wold-class carver to mold these durable full-body mallard decoys. You get two feeder drakes, two upright drakes, one feeder hen, and one upright hen, all with stands. Wind will add the life-like movement you need. These also work great for adding to your spread on the edge of the pond.

Pros/Lifelike and durable
Cons/None - go hunting
Bottom Line/A great way to hunt ducks on cut corn, or shallow water

4. Browning AB3 Composite Stalker Bolt-Action Rifle

SALE
Browning AB3 Composite Stalker Bolt-Action Rifle

I first got to know the Browning A-Bolt series of rifles years ago and I’ve always been impressed. The only hard thing to swallow about them was the price. When Browning went to a new design, it left a lot of people still wanting the A-Bolt. I for one was pretty happy when they came out with the AB3, an updated version of the original bolt-action design. I was even more happy when I saw the price! These are great rifles for the money and I keep trying to convince my wife to let me get another one.It has the Browning 3-locking lug bolt design and the top-tang safety I really like, too. There is a detachable box magazine and the overall feel of the rifle is comfortable.

Pros/Lots of quality features packed into a budget-friendly rifle
Cons/Has to be shipped to a Cabela's or Bass Pro Shops store for pick-up
Bottom Line/Browning quality and finish at a great price - anyone would be happy to have one of these rifles.

5. Champion 4,450W/3,550W RV-Ready Dual-Fuel Portable Generator - Only $449.97

SALE
Champion 4,450W/3,550W RV-Ready Dual-Fuel Portable Generator - Only $449.97

It seems that we always wind up needing the generator for something. Weather has been rough on the grid, and it takes longer and longer for things to get back up and running. Plus, you know… deer camp! This is a sweet dual-fuel generator from Champion. It runs on gas or propane and can run up to 14 hours on gas with a 50% load. It produces 4,550 starting watts and 3,550 running watts of power on gasoline and 4,000 starting watts and 3,200 running watts on propane. It’s not a bad idea to have one around for emergencies and for camping, deer camp and more.

Pros/Produces enough power for camping and for emergency use
Cons/Propane may not be cheaper than gas for a while
Bottom Line/Having a generator is a great idea and this is a good one at a great price.

6. Beretta A300 Ultima Semi-Auto Shotgun

SALE
Beretta A300 Ultima Semi-Auto Shotgun

What if you took the quick-cycling Beretta A300 shotgun action, and combined it with the recoil reduction properties of the premier A400?  You’d get one of the hottest new shotguns going – the Beretta A300 Optima. As someone who has spent an awful lot of time with a Beretta shotgun on his shoulder, I can attest that this is a great shotty for just about everything you’d want to do with a scattergun. It’s highly versatile and an outstanding performer. This Shotgun has a larger bolt handle and release, and an improved low-profile receiver with oversized loading port that makes loading and reloading easier and faster. The Kick-Off recoil reduction system makes heavy loads feel like light target loads, too. What I love best is how it feels on your shoulder.

Pros/Great price, low recoil, easier loading, great gun
Cons/None
Bottom Line/If you or someone you care for is looking for a sweet new semi-auto shotgun, this is definitely worth a look

7. Browning Strike Force HD MAX 26LC Trail Camera Combo

SALE
Browning Strike Force HD MAX 26LC Trail Camera Combo

Bottom Line/A great deal on a solid camera with cool features anyone would like

8. Stack-On 13 Gun Fire Safe with Electronic Lock

SALE
Stack-On 13 Gun Fire Safe with Electronic Lock

One of the best possible gifts you can give or receive is a firearm safe. There are usually some sweet deals on them around the holidays, and if you don’t have a big collection, this is a great option to not only keep your firearms safe and secure, but there’s room as well for keepsakes and important documents. This safe will hold 13 guns and has 3 locking bolts. It will protect your stuff from 1,200-degree fire for 20 minutes.

Pros/Quality safe that holes 13 firearms plus
Cons/Once you have 13 firearms, you've run out of room for more
Bottom Line/A great deal on a quality, compact fire-rated gun safe

9. Bushnell Legend 1200 6x24 LRF

SALE
Bushnell Legend 1200 6x24 LRF

Makes a great gift

A rangefinder is a great thing to have for hunters and golfers… but mostly hunters. Knowing exactly how far away a game animal is can be a major factor in deciding whether to take the shot or not. This one from Bushnell, the company that basically invented laser range finding technology, reads targets out to 1,200 yards, but at that distance, you’d need a reflective surface for a good read. This one also has Bushnell’s ARC technology – Angle Range Compensation – that gives accurate ranging and shot placement for terrain angle, giving you true distance to target on uphill and downhill shots. It makes a great gift, or if you need one for yourself, this is a deal! Hey, get one for your buddy, too.

Pros/1,200 yard range, ARC technology, Brush mode
Cons/non-reflective target range is closer to 600 yards
Bottom Line/A smoking deal on a feature-packed laser range finder.

Should I wait for Black Friday sales?

No, you shouldn’t wait. Many of the early sales will not be repeated before the holidays, and there is always the threat of low stock and other supply issues. I wouldn’t wait if I saw something I wanted to buy for myself or as a gift.
