How To Repair Turkey Decoys for a Longer Turkey Hunting Season

Turkey decoy lifespan can be extended with a simple turkey hunting trick. When your decoy turkey heads start to flop over or the turkey body has a fold that prevents a smooth surface on the decoy, try injecting canned insulation foam into the head and neck of the turkey decoy or along the inside sidewalls of the decoy. When the foam sets up, the neck of the decoy will never flop to the side again.
If you are bothered by the wind knocking the decoys off their pivot point, use the foam in that area. Next, push your decoy stake into the dried foam. This makes it much more stable and your turkey hunting more successful.

His love for the Ozark whitetail and old tom turkey is still his passion. Ed is quite active in promoting the outdoors and enjoys sharing hunts with others, especially first timers!
