I would like to offer a tip that I hope some people will find useful for improving your lures. I do, so I thought I would pass it along.
Have you all noticed that a lot of lure manufacturers are beginning to add red gills to their lures? Well I have been doing this for years before the tackle industry started doing it.
You can use any red paint, but I use women’s fingernail polish mainly because the brush is built right into the bottle.
I have done this to all my lures that did not have red gills already.
I’m sure that all the lures you use are already proven bass catchers, and catch a lot of fish already, but this little added touch could just improve your catch ratio.
It wouldn’t hurt to give it a try.
