This unusual dish makes your wild turkey breast taste tender and like none you’ve ever eaten before, while using your slow cooker to prepare this recipe before your dinner.
Ingredients:
- 1 boneless whole turkey breast (4-5 pounds)
- 1 cup Old El Paso Thick and Chunky Salsa
- 1 tablespoon chopped chipotle chili in adobo sauce (from 7-ounce can)
- 1 cup diced onions
- 2 tablespoons cornstarch
- 2 tablespoons cold water
- 2 tablespoons honey
Preparation:
Spray 5-6 quart slow cooker with cooking spray. Place turkey in slow cooker. In small bowl, mix salsa, honey, onions and chili; pour over turkey. Cover; cook on LOW for 7-8 hours. Remove turkey from slow cooker; cover to keep warm. Pour liquid from slow cooker into a 4-cup microwavable measuring cup. In small bowl, mix cornstarch and water until smooth; stir into liquid in cup. Microwave uncovered on HIGH for 3-5 minutes, stirring every minute, until mixture boils and thickens. Serve with turkey.
