Secure Firearm Products Shooting Team Reports Success at 2011 MidwayUSA NRA Bianchi Cup and International Revolver Championships

Carl Junction, MO – Several members of the Secure Firearm Products (SFP) Shooting Team traveled to the Green Valley Rifle and Pistol Club in Columbia, Missouri to compete at the 2011 MidwayUSA NRA Bianchi Cup recently. Despite the distraction of inclement weather in the area, which included funnel clouds and tornadoes, the team managed to remain focused and turned in several Top Finishes.
SFP Team Member Tiffany Piper captured her 2nd NRA Bianchi Cup National Championship by finishing 1st in the Junior Division and 2nd in Ladies Overall. In addition, Tiffany finished 1st in the Junior Division of the Colt Speed Event.

Other SFP Team Member Bianchi Cup results included Doug Carden’s 1st Place Finish in Expert Metallic, Sydney Surgi’s 3rd Place Finish in Sharpshooter Open and Karl Piper who placed 2nd in High Master, 8th Place Overall and 3rd in the International Division.
After the conclusion of the MidwayUSA NRA Bianchi Cup, SFP Team Members traveled to the 20th Annual International Revolver Championships which were held June 2nd thru June 5th at the Hogue Action Pistol Range in San Luis Obispo, CA.
At the IRC, SFP Team Members and cousins Louis and Aaron Surgi captured 3rd Place Finishes in the Open Junior Division, and Limited Divisions respectively. Fresh off his 1st Place Finish in Expert Metallic at the Bianchi Cup, Doug Carden finished 7th in the Law Enforcement Division and teammate Mark Itzstein finished 9th Overall out of a field of 232 competitors.
“I’m always proud of our Team Members, regardless of how they finish,” said Dave Surgi, leader of the SFP Shooting Team and owner of Secure Firearm Products, “but I am exceptionally pleased that all their hard work and hours of practice has paid off like this. They truly deserve the recognition.”

Mark Itzstein, Ryan McQuilty, Karl Piper, Warren Piper, David Surgi, Paul Surgi and Sydney Surgi. Junior members are Tiffany Piper, Aaron Surgi, Theresa Surgi and Louis Surgi. The Secure Team is represented in the United States, New Zealand and Australia. The team competes in the following shooting disciplines: NRA Action Pistol, ICORE, USPSA, IPSC and Steel Challenge.
