Doug Koenig’s Championship Season Premiers Today

Hamburg, PA – Doug Koenig’s Championship Season (DKCS), a new show featuring hunting and competitive shooting with Doug Koenig, will appear on the Sportsman Channel on Monday, June 27 at 4:30pm EST. The show will also be telecast on Wednesday, June 29th at 6:30am EST and on Saturday, July 2, 2011 at 9:30pm EST.
Doug Koenig’s show will be a multi-dimensional show with a host of topics. In the first episode, Doug competes at the National Action Pistol Championship in Columbia, Missouri. Later in the show, Doug travels to New Zealand – where he stalks Red Stag in a land of unbelievable scenery. Doug’s standing as the best all-around competitive shooter in the world is tested as he competes at world class competitive shooting championships. Doug then turns his attention to the world of hunting where he makes additional use of those highly refined shooting skills.
DKCS will also feature a teaching tip segment that covers a broad range of topics in the areas of hunting and competitive shooting. Proper shooting techniques for rifle, pistol, shotgun, bows and crossbows will be a part of the teaching segment. And, Koenig will also have a few tips for viewers that write to him with questions related to hunting and the shooting sports. Great instruction, in your own home, from the best all-around shooter in the world.
Koenig is excited about the show after planning such a venture for many years. “After many years of talking about this, I finally made the decision to move forward with the show – and it has been very exciting,” said Koenig. “My trip to New Zealand was the experience of a lifetime and I will never forget the grandeur of the countryside. And, we captured it all for the show.” Koenig’s producer, Heath Painter, accompanied Koenig to New Zealand and brought back incredible footage. Footage, by the way, that will appear on the first show.
Doug Koenig’s Championship Season, this Monday, June 27th at 4:30pm on the Sportsman Channel.
