St. Vrain State Park Presents Skulls, Skins & Scat Program

   06.29.11

FIRESTONE, Colo. – Wildlife leaves behind many clues about their habits and what they eat. Learn how to identify wildlife by the things they leave behind. Join the park naturalist to see, feel and examine skulls, skins and scat of many different types of wildlife from Colorado’s Front Range. This event will take place on Friday, July 1 at 6 p.m.

Participants should meet at the Camper Services Building near Mallard Pond. The event is free, but all visitors must purchase a parks pass before entering the park. All ages and abilities are welcome. This environmental education program will take place inside. Following the informational program, participants will be invited to join the naturalist on a nature walk to look for some of these animals. Visitors are asked to please dress in weather-appropriate clothing, bring plenty of water and bug spray and be prepared to spend about an hour walking outside.

No reservations needed. For questions or comments please call St. Vrain State Park at (303) 485-0186. The park naturalist programs are funded, in part, through the Colorado Lottery/Great Outdoors Colorado.
