RGS Offers Free Shotgun Instruction

The French Creek Chapter of the Ruffed Grouse Society (RGS) will host two days of free shotgun safety and clay shooting instruction on Saturday, July 30, 2011 and Saturday, August 13, 2011 at the Clinton Irwin Gun Club, 333 Jones Road, Harrisville, PA. (Registration deadline is July 16th).

According to Christine Lavier, students must be at least 12 years of age, and accompanied by a parent and guardian. Students must also bring their own firearms and ammunition, although a 20-gauge shotgun will be available for those who do not have one; and ammunition will be available for purchase. Hearing and eye protection is also required and will be available to those who don’t bring their own.

Instruction will be provided by NSSA, NSCA and NRA certified instructor Nick Sisely.

Students are advised to dress for the weather as instruction will be held rain or shine. And, since refreshments and food will not be available, you may want to bring your own.

For more information and/or registration and directions contact Ms. Lavier at 814-425-3591.
