Outdoors with Larry Rea will focus on fishing this week as we visit with:

  • Bill Dance, who’ll use talk about his new free iPhone and iPad application. In 40-plus years on fishing’s center stage, Bill has gone ‘Viral’.
  • Catfishing guru Phil King of Corinth, Miss., will recap his recent appearance in the World Catfishing Tournament in Spain, where his USA team placed second (lost the gold medal by less than two pounds to the Dutch team) with 500-plus pounds. He talks about “goose bumps” when they played the U.S. National Anthem. “I felt like I was at the Olympics.” He was, the Olympics for catfishing.
  • 2011 Bassmaster Rooke of the Yeat Ott Defoe of Knoxville, Tenn., who at 25 years of age is ready for bigger and better things as he is one of 12 anglers set to compete in the Toyota Trucks All-Star Week July 23-31.
  • We’ll announce special prizes each week during July as we lead up to OLR’s 10th anniversary show on Saturday, Aug. 6, 6-7:30 a.m., CDT.
