Mossy Oak Sponsors Archery Village at EPIC Outdoor Game Fair

Tucson, Arizona – Mossy Oak is the title sponsor of the Archery Village at the EPIC Outdoor Game Fair this fall. The village will provide many hands-on opportunities for anyone with an interest in bow hunting or the archery sports. Hosted by Safari Club International Foundation (SCIF) and Quail Unlimited (QU), the EPIC Outdoor Game Fair is anticipated to be the southeast’s largest game fair. The three-day event is September 23-25, 2011 at the Foxhall Resort and Sporting Club just outside of Atlanta, GA.

“Safari Club International Foundation is a quiet leader in conservation, hunter advocacy and the introduction of new people to the sport both in the United States and worldwide. Mossy Oak is proud to be a part of the EPIC Outdoor Game Fair as well as an active partner with SCIF and Quail Unlimited, and we encourage everyone to attend and to consider becoming a member of these great organizations,” said Ben Maki, Senior Vice President and Chief Marketing Officer for Mossy Oak.

The Mossy Oak Archery Village will fulfill all of the goals of the EPIC Outdoor Game Fair bringing Education, Participation,Instruction and Competition to families, youth and individual enthusiasts through hands-on outdoor opportunities. Through the Archery Village attendees will be able to get instruction, try different fixed yardage, running and moving archery games, archery trap and even a 3-D course provided by Gable Sporting Goods. Attendees can bring their own bow or try one of those available at the range.

As the official sponsor of the village, Mossy Oak is enthusiastically participating and will be bringing pro staff to interact and provide seminar information about the benefits of the sport. Laporte Archery will be set up with their archery trap for attendees to try. Running and spinning games are being supplied by Team Bowmasters of Arkansas and Georgia State Archery Association member, Rodney Estrada. Estrada, a competition archer and coach for several national-level competitive archers, is overseeing the development of the Archery Village.

“Archery sports are growing in popularity, in part because shooting a bow is challenging and yet achievable by so many individuals,” stated Joe Hosmer, President of Safari Club International Foundation. “The Mossy Oak Archery Village at the EPIC Outdoor Game Fair is intended to challenge even the best archers while opening the eyes of those who have never shot a bow to the world of opportunities that archery presents to them.”

In addition to the Archery Village, EPIC Outdoor Game Fair will feature a wide variety of outdoor fun. From shotgun shooting to dog training to fishing and equestrian sports, the three-day event will have it all and will be a top destination this fall for families in the southeast.
