New Berlin, Wis., (August 11, 2011) – Fred Eichler may have bitten off more than he can chew when he enters the Elite Army Rangers camp this week on Easton Bowhunting exclusively on Sportsman Channel, the leader in outdoor TV for the American Sportsman. The Elite Army Rangers provide viewers an in-depth look into hunting on their Army Base, and life in the military, plus they put Fred through the drills! Watch this unique episode of Easton Bowhunting this Friday, August 12 at 10:30 P.M. EST.
The Easton Bowhunting crew travels to Fort Benning Army Base located in Columbus, Ga. to spend time with soldiers of the 3rd Ranger Battalion, 75th Regiment. As the trip goes on, host Fred Eichler gets first-hand experience into the life of an Army Ranger’s physical and mental toughness. But first is the hunting! Fred and the Rangers head into the Army base on a wild boar hunt, which is permitted on base grounds. They get to try new products on this hunt as well, such as the new Easton Arrow/Muzzy Broadhead combo that will literally “blow viewers away,” according to Fred.
“We learned that a ton of these guys are hardcore bowhunters”, explained host Fred Eichler when describing his co-hosts for the week. “And having top of the line, brand new equipment to try out on base makes this episode not only a treat for viewers, but even me!”
When the hunt is over, Fred dives “head first” into being an honorary Army Ranger for the day, as he gets the traditional Army buzz cut on camera. Then, he takes to the fitness course to try his hand at the physical assessment training test. Just when you think Fred is done, he puts on boxing gloves and heads into the ring to fight with a highly-trained, Army Ranger who is an expert in hand-to-hand combat. This is one episode viewers can not afford to miss out on.
“A bonus for me on this show is that my dad who was a green beret also went with us and he trained at Fort Benning back in the day,” continued Fred. “We learned all the training that goes into becoming one of the worlds most elite fighting units.”
