Ritz Leads FHL Standings with Stone Sheep Kill
OutdoorHub 08.18.11
Professional hunter and popular television personality Gregg Ritz recently downed a trophy stone sheep in British Columbia while filming for Gregg Ritz’s “Hunt Masters”, a fan-favorite show on the Outdoor Channel. Ritz and his Thompson/Center rifle topped with a Nikon scope dispatched the ram from a distance of 205 yards under extremely difficult shooting conditions. Perched on a small, rocky outcrop high atop a 500-foot cliff, Ritz dropped the trophy ram in its tracks. The Hornady Superperformance ammo did its job!
The kill has propelled Ritz to the top of the Fantasy Hunt League (FHL) standings. Because FHL considers stone sheep the most prized trophy game animal, Ritz earned 160 points for his Boone & Crockett ram – plus 11 bonus points for the difficulty of the shot. Ritz’s 171-point kill has propelled him to the top spot among all 60 professional hunters who compete in the FHL. The FHL awards points for a variety of criteria, including species type, weapon, hunt location, acquiring tag, resident/non-resident status, and use of attractants.
Tune in to Hunt Masters Sundays at 10:30 EST on the Outdoor Channel to watch Ritz’s exciting hunting adventures from around the globe, and check out www.fantasyhunting.com and sign Ritz to your team.
