The University of South Alabama, based in Mobile, AL, started their college fishing club in 2008, as national interest in inter-collegiate bass fishing heightened. USA began having local club tournaments in May of that year to qualify teams for competition at the national level on behalf of the Jaguars. Since that time, the club has fielded competitive teams with the ACA, Bass, and FLW while continuing to grow their program.
