The Gun Club of America Announces Shootfest

a, CA September 2011 – The Gun Club of America (GCA), an exclusive fraternity for people who love firearms, is trying out something totally new: a one day regional event called SHOOTFEST. The trial event will be held on October 8, 2011 from 9am – 5 pm at the Sacramento Valley Shooting Center in Sloughhouse, CA. SHOOTFEST will provide yet another opportunity for GCA members to get together, have FUN (one of the Four Pillars of Membership) and experience a number of new or different styles of shooting that members may not normally participate in.
This all-inclusive event includes:
- Eight shooting stages with guns and ammunition provided
- Professional instruction
- A box lunch
- BBQ dinner to follow event
The eight shooting stages include:
- Cowboy Action Shooting
- IPSC (Tactical Handgun)
- Tactical Carbine (M-4 Style)
- Rimfire Silhouette – Rifle
- Speed Steel – Handgun
- Accuracy Shooting – Target
- Kids / New Shooter Range .22 Rimfire
- Shotgun – Wing Shooting
- Bonus Stage!! To Be Announced
If during the course of the event a member finds a particular type of shooting that “lights them up,” the staff of GCA can help that member find a local shooting group and get more involved. There will also be great prizes awarded throughout the day!
Pre-registration is required – no sign-ups on the day of the event. Minimum shooter age is 14 years old. This is a limited opportunity with only a maximum of 200 attendees allowed.
