Ranger Boats Continues Premier Sponsorship of Collegiate Bass Fishing Championship

San Antonio, TX – September 8, 2011 – When 400 collegiate anglers converge on Florence, AL for the BoatU.S. Collegiate Bass Fishing Championship May 23-25, 2012, they’ll be welcomed by Ranger Boats for the seventh consecutive year. Ranger Boats, of Flippin, AR, is continuing their relationship with the Association of Collegiate Anglers (ACA) as a Premier Sponsor. Since the inaugural BoatU.S. Collegiate Bass Fishing Championship of 2006, Ranger has been the exclusive boat partner of the ACA, and that relationship has grown into a very rewarding program for collegiate anglers throughout the country. Ranger Cup University, a component of the sponsorship, is a simple and free bonus program for collegiate anglers fishing with the Association of Collegiate anglers, as well as FLW Outdoors.

Modeled after the most lucrative contingency rewards in the industry, the Ranger Cup, Ranger Cup University is the first program of its kind exclusively for collegiate anglers and is open to those competing in BoatU.S. Collegiate Championship Bass Fishing Series events throughout 2012. Sign-up is free, and regardless of which brand of boat they own, anglers in compliance with the guidelines can earn merchandise prizes and a once in a lifetime fishing opportunity. The team of Kyle Billingsley and Mook Miller represented the Association of Collegiate Anglers and the University of Arkansas August 24-25, 2011 as the ACA qualifiers for the inaugural 2011 Ranger Cup University Challenge.
Each year the highest finishing Ranger Cup University team in the BoatU.S. Collegiate Bass Fishing Championship will head to Texas’ famed Choke Canyon Reservoir for a head to head competition with the highest finishing team from the National Guard FLW College Fishing Championship. This unique battle includes a trip with paid expenses, fully rigged Ranger Boats for their use during the event, over $2,000 in cash and prizes, and nationally televised coverage on Americana Outdoors, one of the nation’s longest running outdoor programs. Additional televised coverage will also be provided on the BoatU.S. Collegiate Bass Fishing Championship Television Series. Both programs are broadcast on the Versus network, now part of the NBC Sports Group, which reaches over 75 million homes.
