Nebraska’s Pressey Championships Slated for Sept. 24

LINCOLN, Neb. – With fall hunting seasons beginning to open, young hunters have a chance to hone their shooting skills and compete at the same time. The annual Nebraska High School Small Bore Rifle Silhouette Championships are Sept. 24 at Pressey Wildlife Management Area (WMA) south of Broken Bow.

The event is open to all hunter education graduates who are at least 11 years old and have not graduated high school.

There is no entry fee, but each participant must show proof of hunter education certification. Trophies and medals will be awarded to winners of each class, and there will be individual and team competitions.
