Aspen Nature Hike
Saturday, October 1, 2011 10:00 a.m.
Where: Grouse Mountain Trailhead
Enjoy the diverse scenery of this moderate 2.5 mile hike with the Volunteer Naturalist Nancy. Examine tracks and signs of the animals that live in Mueller, and some of the largest Aspen trees in the park. Bring sturdy shoes, rain and sun protection, layered clothing, water and snacks.
Nature is Speaking: Are You Listening?

Kids of all ages come join Volunteer Naturalist Penny for a look at the wisdom and lessons from wildlife as seen through the eyes and legends of the Ute People. Be prepared for some history, some legends and some fun activities.
Rocks and Minerals Touch Table
Sunday, October 2, 2011 9:30 a.m.-12:00 p.m.
Where: Visitor Center
Examine samples of the rocks and minerals found at Mueller State Park. Find out more about the shape and color of the rocks under your feet as you hike the trails from Volunteer Naturalist Bob. Come anytime for informative hands on experience.

Enjoy the awesome view of the full moon rising over Pikes Peak with Volunteer Naturalist Russ. Learn stray facts and fun myths about our only natural satellite on this easy 1.5 mile hike. Bring sturdy shoes, warm clothing, water, snacks, rain gear and a flashlight.

Check out the hands-on samples of metamorphic rocks and learn about local geology with Volunteer Naturalist Bob.

A daily or annual park pass is required to enter the park. The programs are free. Videos are shown Saturdays and Sundays at 3:00pm in the Park’s Visitor Center.
