Zeiss Becomes a Platinum Sponsor of The Revolution with Jim and Trav

Chester, Va., September 28, 2011 – Carl Zeiss Sports Optics is pleased to announce its platinum sponsorship of THE REVOLUTION with Jim and Trav on the Outdoor Trails Network (OTN).   This award-winning radio show and podcast airs on more than 366 radio and cable stations in the US and on American Forces Radio Network’s 170 stations around the world.  The show reaches almost five million listeners each week and is geared toward outdoor enthusiasts, especially those who have a passion for hunting and fishing.  Tom Selleck, Jeff Foxworthy, Ted Nugent, Charlie Daniels and Hank Williams, Jr. are among the 900-plus celebrities who have appeared on the show over the past 10 years as well as governors such as Sonny Perdue of Georgia, Kathleen Sebelius of Kansas and Mike Huckabee of Arkansas.   Outdoor pros like Michael Waddell and Larry Weishuhn are also frequent guests, offering helpful tips and advice.

“To say I’m excited to have Zeiss join our family of sponsors is an understatement!  Zeiss is the sort of optics company others aspire to be,” said Jim Ferguson of the Outdoor Trails Network.  “I first started using Zeiss when my father gave me his old pair of binoculars and I have since handed them down to my son, and I assume he will do the same with his. I truly cannot think of a better company to be associated with.”

On this week’s show, Jim and Trav discuss long-range shooting with Zeiss’ Bob Kaleta and the advantages of Zeiss’ fast and accurate RAPID-Z Ballistic Reticle in addition to the Kenton Ballistic Knob now also offered by Zeiss.   They also delve into the ethics of long-range shooting and the responsibility hunters shoulder in the field when it comes to the critical decision of ‘if and when’ to shoot.   Bob also gives a recap of the Zeiss promotions running through the end of the year and what makes Zeiss quality so impressive.  It’s great information for hunters who need to round out their selection of equipment this fall and for those getting a jump on their Christmas shopping.

“Jim and Trav have a great show that is packed with useful information for outdoor enthusiasts,” said Bob Kaleta, Hunting Product Specialist for Zeiss.  “It’s always fun to be a guest on their show, and we look forward to working closely with them to keep their growing audience of listeners informed and entertained.”
